Ultra-Processed Foods Guide (it's free)
A free guide to help you understand UPFs and how to shift your nutrition
Over the last few months I’ve been exploring our relationship with the industrial food system. For those new to the Substack and my work, I come out of the fitness industry with a healthy skepticism of anything “diet related”. Generally, my approach to nutrition the last 5 years has been about focusing on getting nourishment into the body.
A system I call Additive Nutrition.
After months of exploring how ultra-processed foods are affecting our health, I’m rethinking some of how I do my work and talk to clients about food.
I got a lot of feedback on the recent episode of Better Than Fine, which is why I put together a little guidebook that you can get for free here.
I’ve had a lot of requests for information - everything from “are you sure this is accurate?” to “what the hell do I do with this?” There’s more resources coming, this guidebook is just a first stab.
If you were motivated by this recent information on UPFs and looking for something to share with your friends, forward on the link to the guidebook. Might help!
Two Announcements about Better Than Fine
First, that I’ve restructured this substack a bit and will now be sharing episodes of BTF to a “section”. Substack functions like sections in a newspaper - so you can subscribe to all of More|Better (the actual name of this substack) or just the sections you like/want. For the next few weeks there will be a higher frequency of posting as I share the BTF backlog. Hopefully that’s enjoyable for some of you.
Second: Better Than Fine is going LIVE! From this week on BTF will be a livestreamed show. It’s something I dreamt about when I first started Better Than Fine in Feb 2020.
Our first live show will be Wednesday, March 20th at 4p ET - Streaming on the NASM Podcast Network. I’ll be sending a reminder that morning & hope to see you then.
Did this episode inspire you? Sharing is caring so feel free to pass it on.
Need support making sense of your own wellness? I’m available for long term coaching and consultations are always free.
