I was so glad to hear about your journey with this, as I am on a similar search for answers. After listening to this episode I had a horrid thought (which I was already aware of but not paying much attention to)- all of that plant-based milk in the store is, Ultra-processed. I wonder if making it myself is the only way around this and what kind of a difference it might make. Would love to hear your thoughts on these plant-based milk options. Thanks for everything you do!

Yes, I'm finding the more I sift through the information available the more I realize many of my "healthy" replacement foods are actually ultra-processed foods. I often think about a book I read million years ago, a diet book called "Skinny Bitch" that was all ultimately a vegan propaganda book. It boiled down to "all these processed vegan options are better for you because they're vegan. So much of our food marketing is about the agenda of the seller, not what's best for us.

I have no idea what goes into making ones own nut milks ~ my advice: try it. If you like doing it and the outcome, do it more. Then I'd consider why you want it at all. Someone in my household is lactose intolerant, so we get lactose-free milk. Is it an UPF? Absolutely. But that's their line. We all have a line and we do our best.

IDK if any of that helps, but those are my thoughts at the moment. Thank you for listening & thank you for asking.
